SEMATECH’s achievements over the last two decades are all predicated on one constant: the creative power of collaboration. Our strength as an R&D organization comes from a collaborative foundation and framework, which is based on the sharing of ideas and best practices, and the sharing of resources, costs, and risk.
Although over the years SEMATECH has significantly broadened our charter to explore new cutting-edge technologies and future-oriented manufacturing strategies, our approach to R&D is still rooted in the twin legacy of pulling important university research into the commercialization pipeline and working with equipment and materials suppliers to make sure that the solutions it develops are both manufacturable and affordable.
Today, these collaborative successes are more relevant than ever. In these difficult economic times, it is clear that our industry’s success depends on making the seamless connections that brings together labs and fabs, experts across disciplines, and organizations around the globe, all in the service of innovative technology and manufacturing.
